Chioma Okoli was born on 5th April, 1997 and raised in Lagos (the most vibrant city in Africa), Nigeria. She is a determined and fearless actress who continues to excel both on the big screen and in person. Coming from a well-educated family; exposed her to the ideal of arts and the society, making her enjoy the best of both worlds.
Chioma Okoli’s foray into acting was by chance; a social network encounter with a media house led to a film offer. One would argue that Chioma was well prepared for the offer after discovering her likeness in front of the camera and having being trained in the art of acting. She studied Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos; where she graduated with excellent grades.
Making a career for herself as a noted actor in films, television shows and the stage, Chioma debuted in the Nigerian film industry four years ago and has earned herself a nomination for the SCREAM AWARDS ‘Most Promising Actor’ 2018. She came to popularity with her role in the sitcom series “Skinny Girl in Transit” by Ndani Tv; playing the titular role ‘Wosi’ alongside other renowned actors such as Ngozi Nwosu, Nobert Young, Chukwuka Jude, Abimbola Craig, Beverly Naya and so on. Her fame grew manifold over the years with roles in films such as ‘My Flatmates’, ‘The Johnsons’, and ‘The Condo,’ She yearns to be able to help fellow millennials discover their gifts and overcome fear. She is a freelance photographer @whatdoyouburnfor and is widely perceived to be a nonconformist.
Chioma has a remarkable willingness for hard work and believes religiously in positivity. ”We must have perseverance and above all, confidence in ourselves.
